Do you ever feel in a slump? You are trying to move forward with your fitness and eating goals but at some point you burn out. Why is that?
I have been there! I have felt like I am doing the same thing every day and eventually get burned out. In some ways, it could be difficult to overcome something like that, but when this happens, think of your goals! Why did you start exercising? Why did you start eating healthy? What is your end goal?
Ask yourselves those questions. Think about it for a few minutes and write it on paper. Do you have the same goals as when you started? Did you initially start exercising to lose weight and accomplished weight-loss? Now what?
If you feel stuck in a way that you have already hit your goals, or your results are not coming fast enough, then think about what you REALLY want.
To overcome a slump you first need to recognize why your motivation is down. Then, re-evaluate your goals and your dreams. If your daily actions are not progressing you toward your goals and dreams, it is time to change what you are doing.
Set new goals! If what you are doing is not working, you either have not worked at it long enough, or you are not setting the right goals. When it comes to fitness and health, it is not possible to change overnight. If you want true change, you have to work at it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. A six pack does not happen after a couple abdominal exercises! Love handles do not go away after a couple sets of dead-lifts and a few sprints.
It is so much easier to stick to something long-term when you enjoy it!
